Another 2 million doses of Sinopharmm vaccine purchased from China will arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Saturday night (July 18).
Director General of the Department of Health on Friday. ABM Khurshid Alam confirmed the matter to the media.
“Tomorrow at 11:45 pm, another 2 million doses of Synoform vaccine will arrive in Dhaka,” he said.
These vaccines will arrive in the country in two separate aircraft. Huang Yan, China’s ambassador to Bangladesh, said each aircraft would carry one million doses of vaccine. One and a half crore doses of Synoform will arrive from China in three months. Earlier, 20 lakh doses of vaccine were received in the first phase.
Earlier this month, Sinopharm vaccine was received from China on several occasions.
Last May, for the first time, Ambassador Lee handed over 5 lac doses of Sinopharm vaccine to ministers.
