The AstraZeneca vaccine provided by Japan is coming on Saturday

A total of 245,200 doses of Corona Resistant Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine given to Bangladesh will arrive in Dhaka on Saturday. Japan is giving this vaccine to Bangladesh under the global vaccine initiative Covax. This is the first shipment of Japanese gift for Bangladesh.

Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen will receive the gift vaccine at Shahjalal International Airport tomorrow afternoon, Foreign Ministry officials said on Friday afternoon. Japanese Ambassador to Dhaka Ito Naoki will hand over the vaccine.

Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi has announced that 11 million AstraZeneca vaccines will be given to 15 countries under the Covax vaccine. Under that list, Japan will vaccinate 2.9 million astraZeneca in Bangladesh in a few steps.

Incidentally, vaccines are collected in two ways at the global vaccine initiative Covax. First, different countries bought the vaccine to Covax as promised. Second, countries around the world pay K Covax money to buy vaccines. With that money, Covax is buying vaccines as needed.
